A Brief Summary of This Position: The Human Resources Intern will support the HRIS department on daily administrative tasks as well as special projects. This internship will expose the intern to all aspects of Valmont?s Workday HRIS including HR, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance Management, etc. Valmont?s internship program mission is to provide a hands-on learning experience through project work, leadership development, job shadowing and interaction with senior leadership. Essential Functions: Assist with first tier system support functions for all modules of Valmont?s HRIS Ensure data accuracy, recognize data inconsistencies and formulate solutions to correct discrepancies Analyze existing processes and make process improvement recommendations Support implementation of new HRIS functionality through testing, data validation, and change management Participate in group learning activities with cross-functional teams to provide a broader exposure to and understanding of the business Assist with up to two HRIS projects that will be the focus for the duration of the internship; presents key findings and recommendations to members of HR leadership Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Pursuing Bachelor?s degree in a related field with a Junior or Senior standing Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications: Prior experience working in an HRIS function Strong analytical and decision-making skills Benefits: Great opportunity to gain career related course work experience from an industry leader Paid Internship ? The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. No travel requirements for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
