How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the PC Support Specialist I position in our Valley, Nebraska location.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical assistance by phone to end users within the Valmont network.
Administers mobile devices, and maintains Valmont's PC's; related equipment and system software. The incumbent will provide proactive customer support, exceptional customer service and dress appropriately for the work environment at all times. Other duties include preparing PC's for software installation and delivery; assisting with audio and video conferences and equipment; retiring equipment; maintaining system software and other special project and duties as assigned by the manager.
What it takes
Two years computer services Help Desk/telephone experience
One year of customer service experience in corporate, retail, or manufacturing setting
Valid driver's license
Basic knowledge of mobile communication administration including Blackberry, Androids, and IOS platforms
Experience using remote desktop tools
Basic experience troubleshooting VPN issues
Experience using call logging software
Basic knowledge of the components of Intel or AMD based personal computers and laptops
Ability to identify and replace components on computers and peripheral equipment
Demonstrated ability to configure personal computers for network operations
Demonstrated ability to provide basic instruction on the use of Microsoft Operating Systems software
Basic knowledge of Microsoft's Operating Systems, including Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 & 8
Basic knowledge of Microsoft's Active Directory user/computer administration
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and multicultural languages
Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds from a floor or table position using a proper lifting technique
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving and analytical ability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
Associates Degree of Applied Science in Information Technology
A
certification; Microsoft certification for MOUS or MCSE products; and Microsoft MCDST certification for PC hardware

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
